Hotel Bijagua

We really enjoyed our stay! Perfect spot to be able to walk to restaurants and activities. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We would go back for sure!

The staff at Bijagua went over and above to be helpful and provided excellent service, and were so engaging and friendly. We really appreciated their suggestions for places to see. Loved our time there!

This hotel was so convenient and clean, near tons of restaurants all walkable or taxi is 2$ to the downtown area. Julio was an amazing host. View of the volcano is amazing

We spent 4 days at this hotel and it was amazing! The staff are absolutely wonderful and will assist with anything they can. They booked all of our shuttles and tours for us. Julio is super nice and takes time to ensure your stay is 10/10! I highly recommend this if you’re visiting Costa Rica.

Clean, close to everything & super convenient - highly recommend. Juan was the absolute BEST and I can tell he genuinely cared that we had a great trip and great stay - he helped us book a tour, gave tips about the area, recommended restaurants, all the things a first time visitor could hope for. Breakfast was very tasty and filling. Pool was great to relax by. Location is just a bit outside of the downtown but there are plenty of nice restaurants and places to grab a drink just next door and across the street so we preferred this location. Good for families, solo travelers or couples I’d say. Staying here made my first trip to La Fortuna even that much better.

This hotel is in a good location, with very friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool area is beautiful and breakfast was delicious. All in all I would definitely come back

Had a great stay at Hotel Bijagua! They were very nice and worked with us when we arrived beyond their check in hours. They helped us book an excursion and we really enjoyed hanging out in the pool. We stayed in a few other places near Fortuna and none were as clean or private as the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable. They also had a great view of the Arenal Volcano! The only cons were that it was a bit loud when the mechanic shop next door was working on cars during the day and there were times that the dogs incessantly barked... but that is typical of staying in town and not the fault of the hotel. Just something to keep in mind in case you were looking for an extremely quiet place in the middle of the jungle. Hotel is located next to a few great places to eat and get coffee and you are far enough from downtown (less than a $2 Uber ride) that you don't get the traffic of cars and people walking around. Thanks again for taking care of us while we visited your hotel!

I love the quiet feel of this hotel, its very peaceful and has a magnificent view of the volcano. It has a great pool, very nice room, comfortable beds, very clean, nice patio/balcony, great staff, free breakfast, smoker friendly (hard to find in CR), great location and lots of extras, like free washing machine to use. There is a rooster than starts going near by at about 5:30 am. Thats probably my only complaint. Lol
