Chincoteague Inn

Room was clean, best I can say. Only enough coffee in room for one cup. No one in the office any one of the three times I went there. The light in the outdoor stairwell was NOT on at night in the dark when it was needed most. The freezer in the mini-fridge was so frozen over the door would not close tight.

The outlet caught on fire because of their AC unit. Management expected us to stay in the same room after the fire even though my son was visibly shaken. I asked for a new room and they downgraded us. Our new room was missing a shower head, didn’t have the extra lock on the door, had a loud toilet, and a dripping shower. They had an electrician work on the original room and he cursed loudly the whole time. I went out to ask him and the housekeeper to stop cursing and they straight-up lied and said they weren’t the ones cursing. 🙄🙄 The housekeeper was smoking a cigarette 1 inch away from the room with the door open and the entire area reeked of cigarette smoke, even though the rooms are non-smoking. The manager said they would check my computer plug to make sure it wasn’t compromised in the fire but she never checked back in with me.

Can’t stress enough how nice, friendly and accommodating the hotel staff is. Will return on the strength of that alone. Well worth the price. Had a wonderful trip and the Chincateague Inn was part of that great experience!

Stay here every time in Chincoteague. Same friendly service, clean rooms, and that home away from home feeling. Not fancy, but neither are we. And I like it that way.

Terrific service, the staff was great. Rooms were clean and sanitized. Bathroom was very small.

does the job and is a good stay for the price

The bed was comfortable. The room was not as clean as it should have been....dirt/dust in the corners of the bathroom, a half used bottle of hand lotion left on the sink upon our arrival. Even though we requested full room service, we were given no clean towels and had to ask and our wastebasket was not emptied nor was the room vacuumed. It served its purpose of someplace comfortable to sleep during our brief stay on the island.

Out dated. Room seemed damp. Cleaning staff spit and dumped liquid from upper balcony almost landing on us. Location was great.

It was nice but we were on the First Floor which was good but right above us were some young kids and they were up most of the night running/jumping which was quite disturbing!!! But comfortable & clean!!!
