Sea Containers London

A very comfortable room , great shower . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff , due to Covid restrictoons no water , milk in the room . Called room services and within minutes delivered to the room .

Waited for 20 minutes to check in, after this I was told that the room I booked was not available and in fact there was only a single bed for the 3 of us, when we had requested a double room. The room wasn’t anything special although it was clean, but was definitely not in line with the 5 star rating or the price. Breakfast was an extra £4 to eat hot although I already paid £15 per person extra when booking to have breakfast included. It turns out the included breakfast is an apple and sandwich delivered to your door in the morning. Overall very poor experience and would recommend staying somewhere else for the same price. For example, the COMO Metropolitan or the Riverside Plaze hotel in Canary Wharf

From check in to check out everything was wonderful. Not only greeted by then friendliest staff but helpful as well. The room quality was more than expected and the hotel itself was lovely.

I wanted a nice spontaneous expression for my wife which is why I chose Sea Containers because it’s so unique. The staycation was for one night and most of the stay was nice. Two things had a negative hinderance and they were: Firstly the duty manager, I believe his name was Jiancarlo, was shockingly arrogant and dismissive. I had to come to reception twice as nobody would pick up when calling from the room, when I explained that I’m having to come down and the attitude that I received from the duty manager was like he was trying to tell me to F off because I’m bothering him but without actually using those words! I wanted to speak to reception a third time but didn’t again want fee like I’m bothering him. The other issue was that the red chair in the room had a very sinister stain in a very sinister place, I brought this to the receptionists attention upon checking out. Overall the stay was fairly pleasant and I tried my best not to allow the two issues to hinder our stay. I understand that some people have bad and frustrating days but for a Duty manager in a hotel such as Sea Containers to behave like this is categorically unacceptable. I hope that if and when I revisit, I will not have to deal with such rudeness. I could have gone to many other hotels but I wanted to go to what I believe to be a hotel with a special touch where my wife and I would be met with the highest level of friendliness and welcome, just didn’t feel that was the case in this occasion.

It was great just a shame about no minibar or little things that are not there due to covid.

A pleasant hotel, but with so few guests, we had hoped our view would be nicer. Check-in was incredibly slow, but our stay was nice enough. Not sure if we would return or not.

Great hotel - would recommend to anyone. Location, rooms and service all top notch.

Amazing hotel!

Reception staff were excellent. The bar fantastic and the room wonderful. The waiting staff at breakfast could have been more professional, the food was not the best either.
