Room was clean, tidy and a nice size. No wi fi as advertised, each time we went to eat in…
Perfect get away. Ocean views and the best customer service that I've ever had

Had a sea view room with balcony, would have been lovely on a warmer day. Room was comfortable and clean. The menu at this hotel was a bit sea food heavy for us so we went elsewhere for tea. Great breakfast though.
It was in an excellent position for what I wanted to do at a very good cost.
The hotel is a heritage hotel so it feels outdated. The standard of rooms isn't the same as modern hotels. Be careful about what room you pick. There's a big difference between rooms due to it's heritage status and hotels.com don't always show the right photo. We booked a downstairs heritage room with a sea view. The room was dark, dingy, outdated. The furniture had broken handles. It was completely different to what the website pictures showed. Credit to the hotel, they swapped our room. We were in an upstairs seaview room which was a little nicer. The view of the sea is scuppered by a bowls club. If you're looking to eat in town, I'd really recommend Loco Mexican.
The character of the property and the great menu and service
I enjoyed my stay and intend to return. Great location
Dining area great. Some plumbing could be adjusted.
A heritage property done up, presumably within the regulations, and beyond that, as cheaply and as unimaginatively as possible. The room I had was incredibly overpriced, nearly $200 for a room whose decor could have been a share house in the mid-1980s. The view (not the fault of the hotel of course) was over an ugly yellow brick bowls club, before the sea in the distance. The room had tea bags and instance coffee. No biscuits, empty fridge. TV in the room attached, so useless for watching from bed. The price did not include breakfast.
The property was in a perfect location and ideally placed to the beach, shops and local cafes. Only complaint about this place was there was no hot water.
Terrible odour in room. Plumbing on basin gurgled during night spluttering then smelt. Shared bathroom had no soap or paper towels
Historical hotel, terrific location. Had our own balcony with great ocean views. Nice restaurant. Bathroom small and a bit smelly
