Merrils Beach Resort II

Stayed with my son. Breakfast options were limited. Didnt really have anything he liked to eat. Dinner and lunch were fine .

Nightmare and had to leave resort 3 days early and need to be fully refunded especially as i could have been killed by a eclectic shock from outlet in room trying to plug in phone in socket saw flames and had to way to use phone for a day till i realized charger had blown out with force of current of shock . Staff didnt care even though i went to front desk shaking ans crying also 2 days bar only had cheap nasty han gover rum that only drunks drink and ran out of beer and last night i was forced to check out since had no dinner even though all-inclusive cause they gave all food to staff and 2 jamicain only guests recycled one opition ( buffet loaded with salt not fit for a dog .. Some staff like security very nice but 2 if 3 main main waitresses made it clear they didn't want to serve overseas guests which who were qirking first 2 days and begging for water in tropical heat .also room was disgraceful! Very upset Expedia rep when checking out early for safety physically and mentally sanity taked to merrils rep and someone from Expedia said if you have no more concerns etc and balantently hang up on me after being on hold for ever wasting my while morning since Merrils rep was trying to do her job cause realized serious concerns for departing early but Expedia rep said was going to talk to medays r hell 2 days of stress which i was escaping from California stress wouldn't even be enough but so tired and disappointed the very least i could expect at tvos stage!

It’s a really good hotel despite convid 19 the did everything to make the stay comfy maids and security was great right on the beach

Lovely vacation spot for couple or small family

We had a totally relaxed and wonderful time at Merrills Beach Resort II. This is a setting that is relaxed, well kept, has a constantly changing buffet menu with multiple choices at each meal. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We left a home in a cold climate to enter a comfortably warm area- gentle breezes on the long, sandy, uncluttered beach- with mildly wavy ocean - all within about 100 yards of our unit. The living quarters were simple, but comfortable. Our room had 2 double beds, a long narrow closet in which to hang clothes,. A safe at one end....A dresser provided a number of drawers in which one could put clothing, etc. The tv in the room provided a good range of channels- including CNN and BBC. The bathroom was "modern"- with bath tub, shower, sink, and toilet... We had control of air conditioning, and a ceiling fan. All in all very simple, but comfortable.

The location is great on the beAch; the staff is excellent--friendly and trustworthy. We were able to leave our stuff on the beach, when we took a walk or went in the water, without worrying about anyone taking it. The rooms are not fancy; the food is good but semi-repetitive. We had a standard room; if we go next year, we will upgrade to a suite.

Merrill’s 2 vacation

Great service every where in resort . Nadine at reception was so welcoming to us. The wait staff were very attentive as were the bar staff. The food was real Jamaica buffet with lots of variety. It was obvious the Chef was on the job. Loved it. Oh yes the room service was outstanding.

We do like beautiful garden and beach with a lot of shadow, little restaurant just on the beach, clean spacious room, good service. Food was just OK. The worst problem of this small resort is location. It is located just next to the noisy local bar with open scene. We had to experience few hours of extremely laud music almost every day between 2 pm and 7 pm. Sometimes we felt walls of the room were vibrating.

Let’s just say housekeeping could use a workshop or seminar on customer service. My bathroom flooded and I was giving the plunger to plunge it myself, I waited hours for someone to mop up the toilet water after the bedroom floor and bathroom floor(which contain pieces of feces). I am not impressed, Sadly the hotel did not live up to its name.
