Izutsu Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi Sanjo

Slightly older property. Water pressure and temperature varied. Room size was adequate. Appreciate the umbrellas. Really close to the subway stn and restaurants.

The hotel was in a perfect location within walking distance of great markets and restaurants. The staff was friendly and our room was very clean and spacious. We loved the coffe facilities and the little gifts provided by the staff (ie bottled water and slippers). Would definately stay here again.

Lovely small hotel in a vibrant area of Kyoto with great shopping and lots of eating places and bars nearby. McDonalds and Starbucks close by for breakfast. Very close to the subway and easy to get around the city. We had the deluxe twin room and it was spacious by Japanese standards. Nice to have two beds, a/c worked well. No place to hang clothes in the room except for a small coat rack. a wall rack with hooks would be a welcome addition. Washer/dryer on the ground floor was not expensive and very handy. No English channels on the tv, only Japanese channels. Excellent choice for a trip to Kyoto.

The location of the hotel is excellent, but the rooms are really small, can't even open up our suitcases.

Really convenient location and helpful front desk. Room was not as pictured online, much smaller with a very small window. Additionally you could hear a lot of noise from the hallway.

Hotel was in a great location. Laundry machines and dryer available.

Room was comfortable and clean. Wish there were blackout curtains though -- every morning we were up with the sun that shone into the room.

Great location near plenty of shops and restaurants. Small but very clean rooms, no issues there. Staff helpful, some areas of hotel e.g. reception, lifts a little old fashioned but not a problem. Coin washers and dryers very useful. Overall good value hotel in great location.
