Small rooms. The pool is located in another hotel. Rugs need to be replaced too dirty and old

The people at check in were very nice. I will never stay at this hotel again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When i first got there the room was supposed to had been cleaned but there was poop all over the toiket and someone had left socks in the window. I called tge front desk and tgey sent a guy to come clean the bathroom. Then the toilet was stopped up. Had to wait for someone to come fix that. Also the tub and sink were stopped up. It took forever for the water to drain out. The sheets and bed spread were filled with stains that looked like died up blood. I complained about it all. It was just nasty. I only stayed because it was right across from the beach and within my budget. I will not stay there again. It was horrible.

Not what we expected and wasn’t true to what we saw on line or called and asked .. small room only 5 tv channels .. and rude guests partying i didn’t of our hotel door and night Staff and night security would not make them leave .. the 2 check in ladies where the Nicest people of All.. The Buckingham Hotel is NOT on the boardwalk and the king regular room is like a closet .. the AC was the only good thing about the room . Parking was not good.. rooms too close Together .. Old dreary and smelled like mold .. musky .. not worth the price at all!

The Buckingham Hotel is a complete dump. This place is filthy and smells like raw sewage. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Stay away.

When we first were told that our room was ready to check in to, we were given our keys and room number but when we got there, someone hadn’t checked out of the room, their stuff was still everywhere. The hotel’s site says that due to COVID, they are spacing guests out by 24 hours for cleaning, but this is clearly not a protocol they’re actually following considering they gave us a room they thought someone had checked out of that morning. After finding us a new room last minute, we got into the room and found dirty/used towels hanging in the bathroom. Clearly this room had not been cleaned or turned over- again concerning during COVID. I had to go to the front desk and ask for the room to be cleaned, and the reception staff member said “oh so what specifically do you want the cleaning crew to do?” After I had specifically told her the room had obviously not been cleaned and there were used towels still in the bathroom. The hotel is also dirty- we wore shoes in our room because the carpet was so dirty, and the hallways smell so strongly of a damp moldy odor. Additionally, I saw so many staff members, particularly on the housekeeping staff, not wearing masks. Saw more of them not wearing masks than were while in the hotel or cleaning, doing maintenance, etc. Even one of the managers helping us get the wrong room situation sorted out didnt have a mask on. I had to say something to the front desk about employees not having their masks on while walking around the hotel.

Check in line was long. Only 1 computer for the location we stayed at. Overall the place was good we had our own private entrance.

Room was a lot smaller than expected for the price. Hallway carpet was very stained and smelled strongly of smoke. No check in staff at hotel. Had to go over to the commander hotel to check in and out. Parking is terrible, only a few spots at hotel. If they are all full you have to park a street back. Some positives about our stay, the staff was very friendly and our room was clean

The hotel shouldn’t have walls for all the noise I heard from the other guests. I read previous reviews before booking and decided to give it a chance anyway. Never again. There are more cons than pros. Hotel room was dirty, from sand all in the carpet to mold in the bathroom. The beds felt like we were sleeping on rocks. The hallways had a mildewy smell to them. Lastly, the lovely maid service were all sitting outside smoking and gossiping asking multiple families if they were checking out and what room number, as if it was our job to inform them of any of that. If you desperately need a place to stay, please look long and hard before you chose this place. The ONLY positive thing was how close it was to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was really small but it was clean, worth the price, and fairly modern. Actually did look like the pictures for once. The staff were all nice but the subcontracted security guard was a real pain in the butt. He was the worst part of the stay for everyone there. Little too over macho.
