Berkshire Motor Hotel

the only thing i have complaing was the remote control of the TV was hard to on off ,but was good thanks.

Pretty good motel to stay for a few days . Great location.

Everything was good, nothing much to complain about.

Room was as advertised, staff was very helpful

Very clean, plenty of parking, located near many fast food restaurants and convenient to Balboa Park and the Zoo.

Felt uncomfertable ended up checking out early but rec receptionist was awesome

They claim they have free parking but it was only 5 spots and the rest is street parking that is actually full, I had to park 3 blocks down one night because the free street parking was full. They should not make such claims of free parking if they don't actually provide it or guarantee it. The woman was also very rude , she literally said "you're not listening to me, we do have free parking it's street parking " which doesn't belong to the hotel , she was too rude to understand that free hotel parking isn't the same as free street parking specially when there isn't really a spot and you have to park 3 or 4 blocks away.

The hotel has been recently renovated and it’s very pretty. The guy at the check in desk was pretty rude. We asked for some extra pillows and they said they’d check to see if they had any. That was the last we heard from them. The bed was awful. For such a pretty and quaint motel and with all the money they spent in redecorating, they could have bought some new mattresses. Overall, the place was clean and pretty quiet. It’s in a great location. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, though.

It was clean, bed They tried to kick me out at 11 even though I had to be there a little longer waiting for my daughter. It was in a good area.

Lots of restaurants nearby, Arco (for its convenience store) is within walking distance but is cash and debit only. Lobby personnel non existent. Upstairs sounded like people were renovating with the amount of walking and dropping of heavy items. Left whole day and room wasn’t cleaned. Left maid service required on the door the next day and found it on the floor when I returned. Asked if room can be serviced and was met with rude response as if I was already supposed to know that the rooms will not be cleaned even though signs in the room say cleaned and sanitized daily. Other hotels (in area) have serviced rooms (July). Expect to empty your own trash bins and ask for towels because they will not inform you of the policy they have in place about servicing of rooms. The difference between servicing a room and a full reset (Solo without a mask on) makes no sense. Ok if you’re staying a day or two at most.
