Casa Sol Bed and Breakfast

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Sol B&B. The location in Old San Juan was perfect! It was a short walk from Castillo San Cristobal, Fortaleza Street and great shopping and restaurants. A beautiful ocean view walk was only a couple blocks away. Old San Juan has a wonderful charm to it and the locals are welcoming and positive. We felt very welcome at the B&B. Owners Eddie and Tish, and Eddie's mom Tillie, were very helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and sites to visit. The rooms were clean and large enough and the air conditioning work well (always important). The breakfasts in the nice courtyard featured local baked goods (banana bread and something yummy with guava) and included local fresh fruit. One day we had a wonderful chorizo and plantain egg scramble and another day french toast with guava syrup. It was delicious, as was the coffee with warm milk. We had nothing to complain about -- we felt at home and safe in the area. We also really enjoyed giving pets to their resident dog, Oreo, who was a stray they adopted. We hope to return!

It was a pleasure to meet Eddie and Tisha. Casa Sol is within a walking distance to most sights in the Old San Juan. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The daily breakfast was delicious. Eddie and Tisha are friendly and helpful. They recommended a near by beach within a walking distance from Casa Sol and we had a wonderful time there. I would highly recommend Casa Sol B and B because of Eddie and Tisha hospitality, the excellent service they provide, and the great location!

We stayed at this adorable bed and breakfast after our seven day southern Caribbean cruise. It was the perfect location for exploring Old San Juan. The owners Eddie and Tisha were super helpful With restaurant recommendations! We tried both of the restaurants they recommended and they were both top-notch! The breakfast that they served in the morning was super fresh and oh, so tasty! And don’t even get me started on the coffee they serve. I would go back just for the coffee!

It was an intimate experience, the stay felt like home. Service was excellent and personable.

Amazing--we fell in love with Old San Juan and Casa Sol! Wonderful hosts, great location for walking the city. Eddie and Tisa are incredibly welcoming, create the most delicious breakfasts every morning and are a wealth of information about the city and the best restaurants.

I flew to Puerto Rico for our cruise trip: Eddie and his wife (Casa’s owners) was so friendly. We feel like we are living in our relative’s house. After We got back from cruise, we need to go church and need a place to store our luggages. Eddie’s wife was so nice to let us store our luggage at their place. She also arranged our ride to the airport after we’re done with church. Overall we recommend this warning place to stay for your visit. It’s a walking distance to all popular historical sites. Breakfasts are delicious too. 👍

Quaint B&B in Old San Juan right next to San Cristobal castle. The house is from 1795 but refurbished to modern standards. Delicious home made breakfast. Different everyday. Included fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juices, etc. Close to major streets Fortaleza and San francisco wher most stores/restaurants are. Within blocks of El Morro. Clean rooms. Excellent hosts Tisha and Eddie.

Great authentic Old San Juan experience. Walking distance to everything. Very pleasant staff and safe peaceful place to stay. Would definitely stay there again.
