Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell

The Homewood suites, very clean hotel. The only problem is the water pressure is some-what low in the shower and ths sink. I enjoyed my stay and so did my family. Btw the pool is closed and the hot breakfast due to Covid-19..

Staff very helpful I had trouble with the room key and got refunded .

Pretty basic location, due to Covid very limited services, overpriced for what it was.

Didn't mention the additional 70 deposit, valet parking, first night was okay. In the am 10/03/20 the AC stopped working. The lady at the front desk said maintenance wasn't in for another 45 minutes. When we got back the AC didn't work called the front desk the gentleman said that the lady had maintenance check and it was working fine. The AC would turn off but 20 seconds later it was off again it said use wall thermostat but none of the cords were connected. The guy said he would waive the valet parking and would see if there was a fan as he was "booked". Called back and said he magically had a vacant room but the ceiling fan was not working. We could either go there or stay in the hot room. Mario is the guy that "helped"... new room had a non-flushing toilet

Even though the amenities were not available. It was a very nice stay.

The hotel did not have sufficient cleaning supplies, towels or staff. We were a family’s 3 traveling and we had to call and ask for towels the they said due to lack of staff there was only 2 towels for 3 people. There wasn’t any extra toilet paper so we had go downstairs for that as well counters were sticky and not cleaned when entering the room. I didn’t see not one maid on the floors when checking in or out, and my daughter spilled some of her Gatorade when checking in and when we went to get towels on sat 2 the stickiness and mess was still there and when we were leaving 48 hours later they were just cleaning that area... which made us question how often they were cleaning and Sanitizing everything else.

The room was clean and nice size with a full view of Miami.

Overall it was decent. I was expecting a bit better being the Hilton, but not sure how much COVID-19 plays into things. Lunch was gran and go, which I understand, but there was pretty no parking unless you vallet for $25/night. I say this because free parking was advertised on Expedia and we partly chose this location because of it. There are 3 metered spots right outside, but they’re always full and 3 more at the next hotel over if you feel like walking. No housekeeping to swap out linens and provide fresh towels and the cleaning lady refused to provide service and stated she wasn’t getting paid to clean the room that day. Vallet guys were pretty cool though and the only ones that didn’t seem bothered when approached. Definitely would not return here.

When I booked this hotel they were offering free parking, at the arrival they charged me $23.00. The front desk people weren't wearing face mask. Key cards programming program wasn't working. Refrigerator was water liking. Room creamer or half & half were past due. Room was well clean and very comfortable.
