Hotel Atlântico Prime

The hotel looks nice and new. The only thing is the location.

The hotel was in a decent area of Lapa near many bars and Restaurants. It was an easy walk to the Stairs and other interesting spots. I would not classify the neighborhood this hotel is located in as family friendly. I was not pleased with how the hotel handled early checkin and baggage storage. I’m probably just spoiled as a western tourist but I expect early checkin and baggage storage to be free if the have the availability. Granted, the fees weren’t very much (R$50 for early checkin, and R$5 for each bag to store), but it should be a courtesy for paying guests. Lastly, they need to turn on the lights in their hallways.

The towels as well as the bed linens looked like dirty, with stains and the furnitures need repairs. When you turn the air conditioner on, after a while the room has a weird smell. The check in took too long. Although check out was easy and simple. The breakfast is delicious, they have lots of options of food and drinks.

I normally don’t leave a feedback unless the experience is impressive. The hotel staffs were wonderful, great service to the AM staffs. The room was prefect and it has everything I need. The price and location is what got me book this hotel and it’s close to everything in a walking distance. I felt safe even walk at 3am. I’d recommend to anyone who comes to Rio. I enjoyed it so much, oh the breakfast was delicious! Thank you for having me and made my trip extra awesome.

The hotel was so dirty , it had bugs in the shower blood on the sheets couldn’t even stay at the hotel had to go through a 3rd party to find a room at a different hotel

Close to music clubs in the Lapa and great rooms,service and breakfast

Terrible disorganised and dirty. The area around is not safe.

Overall an okay stay. The price is hard to beat. Not the best neighbourhood in Rio. They charge you for everything, we paid extra for 90 minutes early check-in, they charge for baggage storage even for a short time. In our four-country South America trip, this was the only hotel that charged for this kind of stuff. They only accept cash and don't provide receipts for the payment.

Good hotel for price. I normally stay at much more expensive hotels but this one has everything, clean, good front desk. Price is the best in Rio! stay here and can take taxi to other places. I travel a lot and I recommend the hotel.

A great price and a fabulous size room BUT check in was really slow. The queue for breakfast really long and an unusual layout in the room meant anyone in the bedroom could see you shower ! The area is very rundown so you’ll need to use a taxi at night.
