Hotel California

Friendly staff, in particular the bubbly Jilly who served us dinner and breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a quiet location and is dated but it was clean and comfortable and good value.

Overpaid stay. The hotel has potential to be amazing but needs a bit of work - management. It Is old and needs more organisation. At the reception they gave me the wrong hours for the breakfast, I had to call from my phone to have the wifi password, phones were not working properly on the room. We called another room trying to call reception using the number provided on the phone. At breakfast they need more staff to welcome the customers, to take and serve the orders. In the room the shower was either too hot or too cold. I don’t mind but on my booking was saying sea view, but to view the sea you would need to be in the balcony leaning and facing right, for me that is not a sea view. There was no proper glass to serve a bailey’s at their bar. Nobody serves baileys in a tall glass. I am happy they accept dogs. The food was nice and staff very friendly.

Staff were great , fabulous sense of humour at reception and when we dined in restaurant please pass on congratulations to them especially the blonde lady in the restaurant Bed were to my liking , but I couldn’t get shower to work in 303 so had a bath instead also views were amazing

Checked into a room that was damp, dirty and in bad condition. Did eventually get moved after threatening to check out at 8.00 pm with no where else to go. Alternative room was much nicer.

Fantastic staff , breakfast and evening meals best fish and chips ever and breakfast staff work really hard and the bar is well stocked and reception team polite and helpful, swimming pool lovely , loved staying there again , brilliant price nothing too trouble for the staff , some interesting furnishings and decor . Dog friendly if you have a dog which we didn’t do having room next to a wining dog was a bit a annoying but not a problem .

lovely view, hotel needs some work

I liked It's position resort. Did not like all the dogs allowed to stay in the hotel and frequent the dining room.

Good value - Excellent views

In the room where I was stay there is not fridge. Nobody clean the room, towels we need to ask at reception. Even the rubbish bin we need to bring outside.
