Edgewater Hotel

First time at the island Booked through hotels.com pics of room were accurate, two rooms and full fridge microwave, hotels.com has pics of pool and great view, neither exist, views of surrounding block walls and no pool. Walls thin so keep your moaning to a minimum! 😂unless you’re an exhibitionist. No mention of the $250 security deposit they charge and then 3-? who knows how many to refund it. Checkout is 11am late checkout is 11:30 am Golf cart rental onsite but 24 hr/overnight rental has to be in by 12 next day. So rent it early. Convenient and easy rental.

Room was ok smell like cigarettes and the beds were not comfortable at all old mattresses. bathroom was updated.

The room wasn’t as booked at all. I booked a 2 queen bed luxury suite with a kitchenette, living area with pull out sofa and exciting amenities, however, when we checked in we were told they don’t have that room so we got a 2 full bed standard room. There is no pool onsite, no balcony, nothing. It was a horrible stay!

Management was very nice. The rooms were a 6 out of 10. Over all I would give my experience 8/10. The only thing I think they should do is give a discount for the gulf carts if you are staying with them.

The room itself had lots of space, and it was in the best part of the island! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. One of the issues were that the pool isn’t on the property - it’s at the Blue Marlin, which was totally fine - just misleading! The other issue was cleanliness. There was nothing too disgusting anywhere, other than dead bugs and lots of dust. You’d think with them having an outbreak a few days before we got there it would’ve been deep cleaned — that being said, we also know the risks of traveling. So again, it was a comfortable, quiet room. All in all we would definitely book again!

The room was dirty. We told the front desk, which was also a golf cart rental place, but nothing was ever done about it.

The only problem we had was that our slide keys continued to not work all weekend and we kept having to go get new ones!

Spacious room. Staff was a little rude. Needs coffee pot in room, but regular size refrigerator was nice to have.

The room was large. It said we had a view of the marina. Not true at all. We were on the bottom floor, room 1 and looked out the window to tons of golf carts and bikes. The beds were awful with the springs bulging out of mattress. Bedding and furniture was old and stained. The pictures looked far better than the reality. The location was good but there were several other mixed places we could had stayed for the same price. Unfortunately I am from out of state and wasn’t aware. The check in took place where you rent bikes. There were no amenities that I was made aware of. Parking was non existent. Had to park several blocks away and worry about being towed. Sadly was very disappointed and frankly grossed out. If I hadn’t already paid for it online thru Expedia I would had chosen to not to stay there...
