De Chai the Deco Chiang Mai

Likes - location, breakfast, pillow, shower, interior design. Dislikes - Unfriendly senior male staff who serves at morning breakfast, he is always pulling a long face.

Good location. Only a few minute walk to everything. Great breakfast. Something new to try every morning. And the customer service was excellent. Very clean hotel.

Clean and affordable with friendly and helpful staff

The hotel is in an alley of town by a drug detox center. The hotel is nice but getting there was a bit scary. First night, I discovered my room was dirty and they upgraded me to a suite. The room was nice. But, service in terrible. A bunch of kids run the front desk and they are more worried about Facebook than taking care of customers. You have to call several times to get simple things as towels. They have everything in the room inventoried and prices for everything. When I checked out they made me wait 15 minutes while they inventoried the room. They had a card on file and I did not see the need to wait. I would not stay at this hotel again and I can not say I would recommend to anyone based upon my experience.

Nice newer property still in very good condition. We had multi-day stay this trip and have stayed here previously. Rooms are of a good size, clean and well maintained. Our only complaint relates to the breakfast area. More care should be taken with the cleanliness of the tables and placemats. Particularly on the porch area the rattan tables looked less than clean. Only the other hand, the lady preparing omlettes was excellent as were the omlettes. Overall an very nice hotel in a great location. I'm sure that we will return.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay at De Chai the Deco. Well designed room and bathroom. Helpful staff. Pool area very small and little sun,few loungers. Good breakfast. Offers of coffee/tea at breakfast were hit and miss

Lovely hotel very close to the Old Town, 10 minutes walk to Night Market. Truly enjoyed it. Will come back if visit again.

Large rooms, great service, beautiful boutique style hotel. Breakfast selection was small but decent. The decor is stunning however the bathroom (although beautiful) was not practical. The sink and shower stall leaked water. The floors were filthy and housekeeping should mop the floors. Otherwise, the hotel is stunning and the service was fantastic. The location is ideal and close to everything. Front desk who also was our concierge was able to recommend and assist us in booking all tours
