GRIDS KYOTO SHIJO KAWARAMACHI HOTEL&HOSTEL

It was a comfortable stay with all the basic amenities fitting the price. Very clean too. Location is good and very near Nishiki market. But i hope they can prepare simple pamphlet with instructions to their property (available tranport to its location) cos maps and waze gives a different directions and we spent almost 10mins walking in circle 😑 Service is good. You can communicate well w staff. They also have an area to keep luggage if u reach early or check out early. Just beware of the room very modest size. U have a space exactly for your mattress and your luggage and very tiny space to walk through after all that.

I have stayed at Grids in Tokyo several times, this was my first stay at Grids Kyoto. I was quite impressed. Great location, comfortable, and fantastic staff. Most importantly very clean and safe. The breakfast was really good. I highly recommend this place.

Great stay, very handy location and friendly staff

This place is really value for money. Good location, clean and save environment. The only difficulty I faced is climbing up and down the bunk bed. But this is only me. Will stay here again next time.

I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Kyoto. This is my first hostel experience and they made me feel comfortable to travel solo for the first time. The cute place is clean, conveniently located to markets, shopping stores and public transportation routes. I stayed in the all female floor and in a room of 4 women. My bunk was spacious for me, included were a blanket that kept me very warm, A curtain for privacy, and a small lock box for valuables. Lockers weren’t there for bigger luggage but it was no problem leaving my luggage grouped with the other women’s luggage’s in my room. There are lockers in the lobby available for check in day if you arrived before check in time and for check out day when you’re planning to explore the area after you’ve checked out. This place is nearing their first anniversary and I hope they celebrating many more because they are doing a wonderful job.

Location was amazing. Close to everything.staff were really nice and it’s a really quiet hostel. The wifi was not great which I was surprising.

Super modern and super chic. Super clean. WiFi is very poor.

Value for money was incredible and perfect location - right in the middle of downtown Kyoto next to the markets, could not recommend a better location!
