City Centro Oaxaca

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. We were allowed to check in early after coming from a red eye flight so we got to sleep in. The staff help us sort through issues with tour bookings and provided good recommendations to us. Awesome stay.

Great stay. We enjoyed the hotel very much - nice vibe. Breakfast buffet was very good with made to order eggs and other Mexican options. Nice location about 10 min walk from center of town. Very safe neighborhood.

We LOVED this hotel! It’s beautiful, clean, peaceful. The little pool is sublime, warm and clean, and pool area has a lovely view of mountains and of the amazing tree out front. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, with good beds and a pillow choice list! Would have been good to have some drawers and a place to hang clothes—There’s only a tiny closet w five hangers, not enough for two people. Staff was very helpful but most spoke v little English, which made it tricky to enquirer about excursions, and wait staff could be overly zealous in morning, but overall they were great, warm and nice. We adored this hotel and would absolutely stay here again if we’re lucky enough to come back to Oaxaca.

Very nice hotel is a safe and mellow part of town. Very clean and great service. Rooms weren’t stunning but super clean and very comfortable.

Everything worked as it should. Very friendly staff

The staff was completely unpleasant on so many levels. At one point I was told that I was not allowed to take any photos of the property. Not with my camera or my iPhone! Under no circumstances!! No Photos!!!! Within are 3 day stay I counted a total of at least 20 Mexican nationals snapping photos while the staff was present and no action was taken.Anyways the staff was cold and no help at all whenever I asked them about places to eat etc. In short, book somewhere else.

The rooms are clean and the hotel is very very nice, the staff are courteous and helpful. It’s unfortunate that the windows do not open and our view was to an interior courtyard making it dark.

First, this is a gorgeous property, helpful staff. But the rooms have almost zero storage for your clothes. 6 hangers, and one tiny shelf. We spent the week effectively "camping" with our clothes piled up on the floor. Also, a nice TV only highlights that their content feed was only SD.

No hand towels in the room. Small room but quiet. Comercial breakfast but enough.

City Centro is a well located hotel with good amenities and very kind kitchen and cleaning staff. However the hotel is not great for work travel or anyone expecting to rest in the evenings due to ongoing events in the main patio - the week I was there included a 30 person family reunion and a 150 person wedding. The hotel was severely understaffed and unable to cope with other guest needs, let alone ensure a decent noise level in the late hours. The rooms are comfortable, but I am unlikely to return given the fact that I felt unable to enjoy my stay there as a non event related guest.
