Coral Bay Resort

The building work opposite if you are looking at the mountains is far too loud. They start work before 7am and don’t finish til past midnight. If you pay for a suite like I did you at least expect to be able to sleep. They offered nothing, did not mention it and didn’t ask how our 4 night stay was.

Spacious, squeaky clean room with a view of the ocean as good as it gets. Booked 6th floor panoramic and it was better than the pictures.

Breakfast selection and environment was great and relaxing. Great customer service from the receptionists Dominic and Jane. Very happy with how well stocked our water and amenities were. The villa was spacious and beds were comfy. However, the entrance of the hotel seemed dodgy initially due to construction work but our stay was peaceful.

A nice location and spacious villa but a few frustrations mean it doesn’t justify the price. Disappointing that the villas are all squeezed in together meaning only the front ones have sea views, plus the fact that the ground floor of the villa smelt of damp and didn’t seem to be quite finished yet. Staff were nice and the pool and beach were good. Good location for beach, exploring the night market and the rest of the island by motorbike. Buffet breakfast was good too

This is the most ridiculous hotel in Vietnam. Upon check out they claimed two small towels were missing from the bathroom and would not let our taxi leave. Housekeeping had probably removed the towels the day before. It's ridiculous and unprofessional that a supposed 3.5 star hotel that cost 50usd+ a night would make such a big deal about two small cheap towels and make me go back to the room to search for them. I don't know if they do this on purpose to try to get extra money from foreigners but it was total BS and I refused to pay anything. The rooms itself are okay and the hotel is right on the beach but the staff in this place are poorly trained and pathetic. I've stayed all over Vietnam in over 50 places and I've never encountered such garbage behavior, not even in 10 dollar guesthouses. I would not recommend staying in such a trashy hotel. Moreover, there is construction of a new hotel right next door, at 7am I was awoken by banging. The hotel moved us to a room farther away but why didn't they just do that when we checked in instead of giving us a room literally 5 feet from ongoing construction? This place is just a poorly run hotel. It's pathetic and a disgrace. There are so many decent hotels right on the beach in Phu Quoc this place is making a huge mistake being dicks to guests.

There were on-going construction within the hotel area (next to, opposite and road towards) the resort. Staff were not fluent in English, but was very helpful. No access to the beach.

Staff was helpful although they speak very little English. Disappointed upon arriving as we noticed there were on-going construction all around the neighbouring areas. Although we were informed the works will stop at 4pm daily but it still continued till 6pm. No such thing as sleeping in or quiet time as noise from construction starts at 9am. No access to the beach. And you will need to rent a motorbike or car to go to the Duong Dong area eg. Night market, most of the restaurant rows etc
