New, trendy & affordable - a Great find
New, trendy & affordable - a Great find in up & coming area. The hotel is located just 3 blocks from Monistiraki metro in heart of up & coming neighbirhood of Psiri. I visited Athens several times during the financial crisis and had doubts about any hotel in this area. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised to find this great, new mid-sized boutique hotel. The neighborhood of Psiri has changed remarkably in recent years. Bars, restaurants, shopping are all around. The area was well known for grungy gtaffiti all over, yet, this has now turned into part of the new trendy neighborhood identity. One company even offers a "graffiti tour". Also within easy walking distance is Omonia metro. The hotel is brand new and well maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed with trendy mod furnishings. Bathrooms are very clean and stocked as any large chain hotel. The bed and bedding were high quality and very comfy. An ideal breakfast was included and served in a pleasant bar on ground floor facing an old church. Small tables are set up outside if you choose to eat breakfast outdoors. There is also a small restaurant and bar on the roof, with amazing views from the restaurant - of the Acropolis and charming church dome next door. Note, I believe I read in another review of a room smell of sewer... and I noticed a faint smell when first checked in, but I did not notice again during a great 4-night stay. A Greek friend told me this may hapoen after rain, due to old city infrastructure.

Comfortable gem in an awesome neighborhood.
Coming back from a family trip in Lebanon I stopped in Athens for 3 days with low to medium expectations. The city blew me away and I think a big reason was because I stayed at the Artist in an amazing neighborhood! The hotel is a great value and offers so much for a very good price. The room was large and furbished very well, bed comfy, bathroom was good and everything was reasonably clean, The breakfast was included and really delicious, They offer coffee, OJ, a bread and jam basket, a fruit basket and your choice of eggs, omelette, sandwich or yogurt. The neighborhood is awesome! Not too touristy, edgy, great cafes, tavernas and shops. The one thing they could work on is the service which seems pretty abrupt and short. After interacting with the English-Speaking woman at the front desk, I found her to be efficient but not super helpful so when I needed recommendations for anything in the neighborhood or city, I asked strangers or the internet!

Well designed and located boutique style hotel -
The design was very modern and pretty. The service was very kind and professional. Breakfast was truly chef style and I really liked the menu to choose from and not a “standard” hotel breakfast. After walking so much in Athens, I think the hotel’a location was the best in Athens. The only downside I find is that the bed was okay and decent but not a great one

Good 6.0
The room is very clean, Spacious, big enough & updated. The bad thing is the area is not good at all. At night scary & on the day i checked in there was a crime in the area due to problems between mafias, so this left bad impression. If this hotel was moved to another area in Athens would definitely stayed again as it's very clean, great service and employees are very nice.
