The setting was splendid and peaceful.service at breakfast was slow due to only one staff member on duty

Beautiful location and extremely friendly staff. They were very helpful and went out of the way to check we had everything we needed.

Stayed overnight - did the job perfectly! Owner and Staff friendly , food brilliant and would totally recommend. Thanks to all the Staff!

Hotel has started upgrading the rooms, we would like to add that although we were happy with our stay, the management have indicated our room has been upgraded by them. We would like to suggest that further care is taken regarding upgrade of rooms - professional decorator required to improve look of room, shower area in need of some neater finishes - linen could have been cleaner and breakfast service needs work regarding training, time taken and items available.(also location due to staff going back and forth) Manager was great to chat with and very helpful but he will need to invest more in quality of work to return hotel rooms to the quality he was describing as they just aren't there yet. Best of luck for the future with the works sure to continue for a while.

Extremely welcoming and helpful hosts that will do everything for you. Staff were very pleasant and bedroom spotless and public areas very comfortable. Good dog friendly getaway.

This was a spacious hotel in a very quiet area. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The food was tasty with a good portion size.

We had an excellent two nights at Ernespie House. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. All the staff we met were pleasant and hospitable. The hotel is spotless and our room was fantastic with all amenities, warm and cosy for such a large room with a wonderful high ceiling, bed was super comfy, lovely pillows and duvets, attention to detail is spot on. We had our evening meal both nights and they were first class. The honeycomb cheesecake is fabulous and I can honestly say the Rump steak was the best I have ever tasted. Cooked breakfast both mornings, delicious! It was very wet while we were there, so we weren't able to have a good look around the vast grounds, plan to do so on our next visit (weather permitting) The couple obviously have many plans for their new venture and we plan to visit again next year and see their progress. Wishing them every success for the future.
